About Us
NorthWestern is a suburban music recording studio in Auckland, New Zealand. We provide music recording, mixing and production services utilizing both analogue and digital high technology.
There's a moderately sized, relatively dead but pleasant sounding main recording room as well as an isolation booth. We also have the ability to record in the control room if additional isolation is needed during live dates. We've comfortably accommodated 6 players.
We produce singles, EP's and albums. We do vocal sessions, unattended 'online' mixing and mobile recording. We can document your band or we can offer full production. Anything really. We pride ourselves in being professional, efficient, creative and often pretty funny.

NorthWestern is owned and operated by Nick Abbott, who has been working in music production for over 20 years in New Zealand, the UK and the United States. Conversant and sympathetic to a broad range of music and production methods Nick brings experience and creativity to the table on the back of working with hundreds of bands and artists..
